Walking over
Water
He smoulders
His beauty on
fire
Under the hazy
light
As a milky
moon voyeurs over head
I watch him
emerge
Out of
darkness
Stepping to
meet him
Until neither
of us
Are standing
upon solid ground
Beneath our
feet
The river
rushes
Our blood
mimics
Flowing
through our vessels
Like the dark
waters under-foot.
As we reside
upon the concrete structure
Soft orange
light illuminates
The dark
summer sky
He moves
closer
His energy
potent
Strong like
his scent
Demanding me
We look
Eyes merge
with the darkness
We forget the
distance
Swiftly
embracing
Before
clasping hands
Joining
together
To walk over
water
Over to the
other side
A lighter
place
As we follow
the night
Hoping for it
to fall
Wanting light
To see one
another in face
To cement an
unjust love.
He touches my
face
And I his
Returning love
We move
forward
To the light
Into the
impending dawn
Together.
