Beach BBQ

The glorious weather has continued into this week, we've just got back from two days away at home where it was just as hot and sunny as it's been here. On Sunday along with some of our friends from work we headed into town and to South Beach for an evening BBQ. The first couple of weeks of July are usually fairly quiet here before the schools finish so Sunday night was lovely and peaceful with not too many people around. We dined on minty lamb burgers, rainbow trout, sea bass and some red onion, pepper and meat skewers. It was so warm we even went for a little paddle, there were people swimming in the sea at gone 8 p.m. and others out in boats enjoying the late evening sun. I think what made our night was spotting what must be either dolphins or porpoises out in the bay, just as we started to walk up the beach hence I wasn't really close enough but you can see it peeking out of the water.

I can't remember the last time we sat on the beach watching the sun go down, it will be something I'll miss when we move but we haven't really done it over the past couple of years living out of town. If this good weather continues we might do the same again this weekend, enjoy it whilst it lasts.
